FSC Chain-of-Custody Certification

01/25/21

As part of our ongoing commitment to Sustainability, PID Floors is thrilled to announce we’ve just completed our annual Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain-of-Custody Certification audit. FSC is the leader in the industry for environmentally and socially responsible and sustainable forestry management and its Chain-of-Custody certification is a rigorous process:

“Chain-of-Custody certification traces the path of products from forests through the supply chain, verifying that FSC-certified material is identified or kept separated from non-certified material throughout the chain. The Chain-of-Custody process ensures the consumer that the FSC-certified products they purchase are coming from responsibly managed sources… For a consumer to purchase an FSC-certified product, every company that previously had ownership of the forest product material components of the end product would have had to be FSC certified.”

By being FSC Certified, we are able to provide our clients the ability to choose sustainable hardwood flooring options that qualify for LEED points and that offer full transparency of origin and process: ensuring the wood was harvested ethically and sustainably from a responsibly-managed forest and was then processed in FSC Certified factories.

We are rigorously committed to the ongoing health, protection, and well-being of both our clients and the environment. Learn more about our ongoing green initiative at PID Floors:
